King David Kalakaua - "the Merrie Monarch"

If you haven't visited the Iolani Palace, I would recommend doing it at least once in your lifetime. The other day we spent a few hours there and it was a great experience. It was pretty awesome to think of the history beneath our feet as we walked through the grounds. Plumeria in your hair... misinterpretion or malfunction?

It was another beautiful day in Hawaii. We still have summertime weather, 88º with cool breezy tradewinds. As I look outside it's hard not to notice the beauty that surrounds. One thing that stands out is the plumeria tree. You'll probably find these to be very common around the islands. The blooming flower clusters bring a decorative sight wherever you see them and also complements our tropical landscape.

Beautiful Hawaiian Fabrics

When you live in Hawaii, it's not always easy to find a wide selection of merchandise or products. But if you're looking for hawaiian fabrics, you'll have plenty to choose from. The selection changes pretty often, although like anything else, the good stuff will sell out fast. We're always on the look out for nice fabrics in which we use to sew our costume pa‘u skirts.
